Staff are friendly and team-focused. Senior management very approachable. Lots of variety in job role, due to the number of licensed brands they represent. Half day finishes on a Friday during summer months. Subsidied gym membership. Respected company within the licensing industry. Team deadlines and projects met on time in the majority of circumstances. Performance reviews were fair and collaborative. Office location easily accessible in Hammersmith London. Culture was one of trust and ‘getting the job done’. Lots of team away-days and strategy meetings to build holistic plan.

Salaries tended to be below industry averages. Head Office not able to make devolved sign off on staff salaries and retention (CPLG had to gain permission from parent company DHX in Canada). Not enough staff on finance and legal departments (which slowed down business development progress and opportunities).

None to mention. However if you are your manager's boot-licker and partake in office gossip, it is a different ball game

Character licensing is a declining industry and the company stays afloat on inherited deals and renewals. Very little road-map for the future or willingness to adapt to the changing landscape. New ideas will be met with eye rolls. Bullying is rampant and actively practiced by management (gossip, exclusion, laughing at others' expense. I also encountered more serious slurs which were brushed off when I tried to address them). Managers are not appointed based on merit or abilities but rather being the kind of specimen that fits the company's culture and have spent their entire professional life within CPLG. There are far superior and more professional licensing agencies to gain experience in. Those that welcome diversity, new ideas and strive to improve their employees skills. Sadly none of this will be gained at CPLG, your confidence will be knocked greatly. AVOID.
