Disappointing - Anonymous employee Corteva Agriscience Employee Review

Unfortunately Corteva hasn’t lived up to the values and promise that leadership created upon the company’s inception. Major decisions that affect all employees are treated as top-secret, and employees/stakeholders are informed at the last minute without much regard. There is a major lack of transparency throughout the entire organization. The business is entirely too “quarterly-focused”, which means employees are routinely overburdened with unfair workloads in order to appease shareholders every quarter (not just at year-end in Q4, although that is a monster within itself). After working for the company for a number of years in different heritage businesses, I can honestly say unfortunately Corteva has been heading in a negative direction since spin-off. Benefits changing for the worse and a lack of HR support (ie your assigned HR representative being located in a different part of the country from your corporate office) add to the frustration of an already disappointing work experience. I truly wish the best for the organization and hope new leadership can turn things around, but this seems unlikely anytime in the next couple of years, which ultimately lead me to leave the company for a better opportunity.
