I worked for the company while it was in flux. It was changing names, leadership and direction. I can’t speak to how the “good old days” were or how bright the future will be, I only have my experience from a time of uncertainty. Employees were kept in the dark for months about the company reorganization. We knew it was coming, but that was all. Morale sank and rumors floated. The reorganization stretched out over two months culminating with all of the layoffs happening on the same day.
The company struggles to plan for the future. It undertakes costly projects that aren’t necessarily needed, like apartments for single soldiers, and that may struggle to be successful. Additionally the company did not plan well for the troop and budget cuts as combat operations draw to a close.
