Pros
- Friendly and relaxed environment. There's space to relax and play games after work in the Spectrum Gaming Lounge. Staff would often stick around after hours to play Smash Bros, League, Fortnite. However this became less frequent with the takeover of MSG. - Passionate employees Everyone who comes to work at CLG is passionate about the team, and passionate about esports. Everyone only has the best intentions at heart for the company. Many staff have been around for years.
Cons
- Lack of vision or identity in the space. CLG has been struggling with an identity for years now and it still can't seem to find one that resonates consistently. Everything the company produces feels disjointed and minimal at best. - Very barebones and a minimal spending approach to everything they do. A lot of good come from CLG but they often lack the manpower or cash to execute properly. Projects being hammered down into the cheapest versions of themselves. - Understaffing and underestimation on what is required to reach the lofty goals management set. High expectations are set on growth and output yet paired with the lack of willingness to spend or increase manpower at the org, it can feel like a never ending struggle to reach your goals. - While it is a friendly environment, this leads to not many people willing to speak out against bad ideas, bad execution or poor performance. A lack of accountability is rampant. - Long Hours. While the set hours are 10AM-7PM Mon-Fri, it is rare that this is a normal day. More often than not, you are working until later and very rarely get your weekends.
