Pros

Bottom line, if you work hard, you will never get fired, even if you aren't hitting your numbers. It's a shame the industry is such in despair or this would remain an overall good place to work. Great Experience, especially if you are early in your career.

Cons

Industry in decline You will be required to juggle many things to sell at once but that's the nature of the newspaper industry.

Pros

Excellent pay benefits. Single copy manager is awesome….he’s the smartest trick in the book! Pay is on 2 separate paychecks tho. Tons of people waiting their turn to get routes, sometimes months! Hop on board & hurry! Couriers are flocking like hummingbirds to the distribution center!!

Cons

No cons ever at this place!!!

Pros

The only good that came out of working here is I get to use the Courier name on my resume.

Cons

Management=Gannett's puppets. They have no brain for themselves. During the interview process they will lie and tell you the company is doing great and the incentives will just roll in. There is no formal training on your position and they will literally throw you into your position and expect you to come out swimming. If you drown, then they will either demote you or let you go without any warnings. The in-house HR team is useless. Even the simplest questions they will refer you to the corporate phone number. I really could go on and on but I will save them a little bit of face.
