Pros
The benefits are very good. The community is lovely. The teachers all support each other. The teams are small, which means that your creativity is never squashed. Because it is a private school, you have a lot more freedom as a teacher. They also hold the students to a higher behavior standard, and in general, parents are very involved in the students' lives and schoolwork.
Cons
Teachers are overworked and salaries are miserably low. They also have had massive turnover in administration in recent years. There is also very little diversity. In general, this school is exclusionary, and it was difficult for me to work there knowing how many families and students they have rejected for "religious reasons." They are a school with strong values--I just happen to disagree with their values.
