Pros
Good benefits - PTO and great insurance plan
Cons
I was with GlobalOptions for many years very content with my job and my future with the company. I had no plans on ever leaving. That was until the merger with ICS Merrill occurred and the creation of the new company CoventBridge Group was a complete disaster. I tried to make it work as long as I could due to the benefits, but as my morale spiraled down the drain it was clear this was a completely un-workable situation. I made a lateral move to a different company with less benefits just to get the flip out. This company operates by management inflicting hostility, constant chaos, veiled intimidation, rules just for the sake with rules no matter how asinine, and harassment just for kicks. The company is very poorly run with so many managers, case managers, SAM's, etc that things fall through the cracks (like reports and evidence submitted by the investigator not actually getting to the clients). This management structure also adds unnecessary stress to the investigators feeling like they have 8 bosses, all with different expectations. The outdated clunky operating system was a daily source of misery. The report template is not suitable for claims investigators and creates a poor quality work product for the clients. But then again, after the merger, quality no longer matters and is in fact discouraged because of the ridiculously low expectation for report preparation time. The ludicrously high expectation for report turn around time (12 hours, are you freaking kidding me!) makes it impossible to have a life, not that management cares, the investigators can be expected to be bombarded with emails about the status of a report for a case that was completed mere hours earlier. Any opportunity the company has to pinch a few more dollars from the hardworking investigators, they will gladly do so. After months of being devastated and heartbroken about feeling like a good career turned to shambles due to this new company, I finally got out. My only regret is I didn't do it sooner.
