Pros

Sometimes projects are interesting and some colleagues are professional

Cons

Projects are mostly prototypes that often if not always end up in nothing. Some feel like HS projects, most like academics Cliques encouraged by management Management of projects is informal and outdated Diversity is lacking, we are talking Hanover NH Business model based on SBIR projects risky for most in the lower ranks of the food chain

We appreciate the feedback about your overall employment experience with Creare. While approaching its 60th anniversary as a nationally-recognized, award-winning innovative technology and product development business with over 160 employees, Creare acknowledges that it is not always the right fit for everyone. We are proud of our recent contributions to NASA's space exploration programs, the Navy's carrier aircraft launch and recovery process, and aircraft manufacturing technology that are all successful products that resulted from prototype development projects. We hope you are successful in your next endeavors.

Pros

When pursuing research and development, there's tradeoffs to consider. Do I work in a graduate school lab, where I can pick what areas to focus on, but the resources and pay are a struggle? Do I work for the private sector, where the pay is great, but I'm one small cog in the design? What Creare offers is unique. A balance between a small design firm and a large corporation. The topics are diverse and the atmosphere is collegial. They recognize budding talent so it's up to you to choose how far you want to go and where.

Cons

Though projects are well managed and planned out, R&D work is by nature, fast paced and sometimes stressful. There are humps where you have to put the pedal to the metal.

Pros

The company culture is second to none. There is a strong focus from management on work / life balance so employees can have time to focus on friends and family and not be a slave to the workplace. The people are great to work with and you can really feel proud of the projects that are being worked on. A+

Cons

Nothing I can think of unless you're interested in living in a big city. It's an hour to Manchester, two hours to Boston and an hour and a half to Burlington.

Lebanon, NH (1 miles away from our office) is consistently rated as a top five best small town to live in. This ranking is based on crime rate, education, access to quality healthcare, unemployment rate and other variables. What we lack in city living, we more than make up in year-round outdoor activities. Thank you for your review.
