CMO is a one trick pony. Shallow knowledge except FB marketing. Facilitates team building presentations, but can’t seem to actually talk constructively on how to get ahead of competition. Has no backbone or substance with BAD breadth. There is no upward mobility unless you have ties with ownership or the Topeka office…. CMOs close friend, who was a direct report maybe came in the office three days a week, while everyone else was there four days. If you are in marketing, run! In about 6 months there have been 40% in marketing who have left the company. Two more are looking. Also, if you’re advisor, and you want to grow, run! All they suggest is their seminars. That’s what pays for their marketing team.
