Pros
Plenty of chances to do what interests you, that can pretty much be anything in technology or gaming.. If there is a chance it can be successful then coworkers and management will likely support you. Everyone there is awesome and passionate about what they work on. Lot's of opportunity's to learn new and interesting things, you can pretty much take on whatever you want. Much of data mining that drives the various sites is always pretty interesting and something you won't find many other places. Was able to put some pretty impressive things on my resume and still occasionally remembering something I need to go back and add. Plenty of cool public and private company event's to go to, food is good (also usually leftovers if you want to take any home), good benefits. Random people will tell you how much they wish they could get a job here, you'll get used to it eventually.
Cons
Although this was worse before I joined, had slowly gotten better over my three/four years there, and significant company-wide initiatives I had pushed for where being lead by management to resolve this near the time I left, the infrastructure run's on blood, sweat, and tears (some sarcasm here, but not much). This was made clear to me during the interview so I'm sure they will let you know if and how much of this still applies. Random people will tell you how much they wish they could get a job here, it will take a while to get used to.
Pros
I've really enjoyed my experience working for Curse. Many of Curse's employees relocate from across the country to come be a part of this team (including myself), and since day one everyone has done a great job making sure I feel welcome and included. It is inspiring to come to work every day with such passionate people- everyone here believes that Curse's web properties and products truly help gamers better enjoy their gaming experience, and that belief is what motivates everyone to work hard and contribute to the community they love on a daily basis. Curse values its employees and offers an excellent benefit package (way better than my last employer)- to start, I pay nothing out of pocket for my medical, dental, and vision insurance. Curse also contributes up to 5% to your 401K, which can add up fast. The catered lunches, stocked kitchen, monthly gym reimbursement, and annual gaming expense reimbursement aren't bad either. I also get to take more PTO here than I ever have before- Curse gives you 20 PTO days in your first year. All of this really makes me feel very well taken care of by Curse. Last, the company is growing like crazy right now. Since Curse prefers to promote from within rather than hire management into the company, it's definitely an awesome time to join the team (more leadership/management/senior level roles should open up to keep up with the growth).
Cons
It's hard for me to come up with any cons to working for Curse. The only thing I can say is the org. structure is pretty flat right now, but I assume that's going to change soon with all of the growth this year and next.
