Pros

I love working at Custom Automated Prosthetics because of the people and how dedicated to providing the best service possible to our customers. I also enjoy the fast-paced atmosphere; there is never down time where you feel like you are not contributing and there seems to be a consistent sense of excitement for the next big project to hit. I have never before worked at a company employing so many devoted, capable people. CAP invests in and seeks out the best-of-the-best and this makes being a part of the CAP team a huge benefit. CAP offers endless opportunities to learn and grow within your position, as well as the freedom to explore your interested and talents.

Cons

Growing pains have begun to show, but I do see an effort from the executive team to keep things moving smoothly. People wear a variety of hats and project owners seem to shuffle so it can be tough knowing who is responsible for driving the project. This definitely slows things down. There are lot of rotating/changing top priorities which, although should be expected in a fast paced environment, can be frustrating. Overall, I feel that these cons are pretty expected in a company growing and evolving.

Pros

-Good culture, team driven -We could handle almost anything on site -Good benefits, vacation time that I will never find with another company unless I was making six figures for a bank -Our equipment was on the cutting edge of digital dental technology -the severance was fair

Cons

-worked alone for 2 months because corporate were dragging their feet when two of my team members were axed -basic things like repair were tied up for days or weeks because of protocols -hemorrhaged good employees from the top down after founder/CEO retired -when my side was laid off, even the sales and support sections seemed miserable -production was laid off because corporate valued the bigger lab, even though we had much better performance even when it was just me operating the machines. -corporate changes destroyed our competitive advantage -we worked insanely long hours, risked our lives in a few snowstorms, just to meet our daily output. We succeeded, too, but didn't get recognition or help to ease the burden. -company thought they could get 6 of us to move all the way across the country to a lab where everyone seems like miserable automatons. -I predicted our demise 5 months before it happened, but nobody believed me until the announcement came.
