flatter organization, very slow to promote, lots of talk on development with little action to support growing people in a meaningful way connecting development and career advancement. There are definitely personal growth opportunities (peer mentoring, unconscious bias training, purpose accelerator), but little is done to connect those programs to accountable measures by management to train, mentor, and grow the individuals in the organization, set up succession plans, and advance individuals in their career. If you know someone influential and higher up that's willing to advocate for you, then maybe you will have a chance at advancing, if you don't, you are likely to stay in the same place/role you were hired for. Promotions are very rare and hard to come by.
