Pros

AIM B2B, the agency business unit in Custom Media, is genuinely one of the most supportive and forward-thinking agencies I've ever worked for. The emphasis on being Curious and Driven as core values is real, and it translates directly into tangible benefits for personal and professional growth. The agency puts its money where its mouth is regarding training with an annual external training budget and dedicated time each week for self-directed learning. The AI Innovation Studio is a fantastic initiative. It ensures the whole team stays ahead of the curve, giving us dedicated space to test and master cutting-edge tools. The use of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is really good. It provides transparency—we see the detailed business performance data every quarter—and makes everyone feel like an owner. Remote-first work policy and focus on well-being are huge. They proactively discourage overwork, offer flexible schedules, and have excellent programs like the YuLife mental health app. Being part of global networks like BBN and AMIN means we have access to international best practices and networking opportunities with partners around the world.

Cons

The agency is in an exciting, fast-growth phase, which means we occasionally have to adapt quickly to evolving operational processes. While the EOS system helps, maintaining consistent documentation on processes across all teams during rapid expansion requires constant effort.

Pros

This company is a great choice for foreigners living in Japan as well as globally minded, bilingual Japanese professionals. The main company language is English, and about 60% of the staff are non-Japanese — sometimes I honestly forgot I was even in Japan! The work environment feels international rather than traditionally Japanese. The company really values work-life balance and actually discourages overtime. It’s a hybrid setup, with just one office day per week in central Tokyo (Toranomon). The pace is fast and exciting — you can literally see the company expanding and improving day by day. Processes are being refined, operations are becoming smoother, and the number of clients keeps growing. Because of that growth, everyone stays busy, but the atmosphere is positive. You’re trusted to manage your work your own way, as long as you stay aligned with the company’s basic principles. The team is also very friendly and easy to talk to, which makes a big difference. Overall, it’s a great place to learn, grow, and challenge yourself. The work requires flexibility and adaptability, but you’ll gain valuable experience and genuinely enjoy what you do.

Cons

Not suitable for people who don't like speed and constant development.
