Pros

The only pro I can think of is that the job ended and I got far away from this shady company and the CEO Jeff.

Cons

Don't follow standard industry practices -- no OT (even for a 12+/hour day), penalties for being even a minute late, no fully paid travel days, hotel sharing, the list goes on. Freelancers are not treated with respect. There are so many great event companies out there. Stay far away from this one!! If I could give less than one star here, I would. The CEO Jeff if just plan awful to work for.

Pros

Good place to get your foot in the door with 0 years of experience in the design industry. If you want some powerful work in your portfolio, this is the place, but it comes with a very steep price. You'll get some pretty big clients, but again, it comes with a steep price.

Cons

If you're married, then turn away and look for something else. You're basically on the clock 24 hours a day. This can include working overnight and not really knowing when you will be done. This is not a traditional design career or agency, this place strictly is a contract position, but expectations are full-time and beyond. This works in their benefit because if work is slow one month, then you want be making any money. Then there is the CEO. The biggest con for this company. Overall he was rude, arrogant, and literally would take credit for just about everything. The other employees at the time were a great bunch and allowed a buffer to make it feel like a reasonable place to work. Once this buffer faded away, I decided to resign. The company has great potential and big clients, but they need a new owner in order to make that happen.

Thank you for your input. I'm sorry we didn't jive or have the same standards for excellence. I hope you're doing better these days.
