Extreme micro-management. Phone times kept on display, emails checked, and all activity in office monitored via camera in a way that shows the owner’s distrust of his employees. Owner is abrasive on a good day, and constantly changing company processes and policies. Can’t get out of his own way. Very toxic work environment. Work week is disguised as flexible with a focus on work life balance. You start at 10am which sounds great, but your clients don’t, so you’re expected to answer calls and emails when you get them. Management and owner say you aren’t required to answer/reply out of work hours, but will also compare performance to employees who do work outside the normal work hours. Owner brings a fake Wall Street attitude to most situations, and not cares about how much money you make him. During pandemic the owner read about millennials and quit quitting, and he seemingly never recovered from the emotioal damage that he suffered when he convinced himself that’s what his employees were doing. I’m being conservative when I say was had 10 straight weeks of two weekly meetings that were hijacked by the owner to go on 20+ minute rants about quit quitting. This was always done in an accusatory war toward the entire company minus the management who usually just sat there nodding in agreement. Overall theme of paranoia, every single day, without fail.
