Pros

Benefits are OK but increasingly expensive every year. Company is loyal to employees and does not mass hire / mass fire. Salary was adjusted for inflation.

Cons

DENSO has gotten worse over the years. Many employees have left during COVID and not been replaced, this may be intentional. Almost every team runs very lean requiring personal life sacrifices to meet deadlines, because management does not consult team before agreeing to deadlines. Most of management do not have managerial skills and have poor communication. Many seem to be in management due to seniority. There is an oversaturation of managers, with multiple managers existing on one team but not enough engineers to complete work. Managers sit in meetings most of the work-day and do not plan projects properly, adding to the burden for engineers.. Overall talent pool is low because there is no push to think out of the box and no initiative from weak management. Performance reviews are subjective and inconsistent across groups. Promotions still rely on outdated seniority guidelines, requiring a certain amount of years before being eligible for next level, which means there are many poor performers who have a higher ranking than more experienced performers. Poor communication with customers and within teams results in confusion frequently.

Pros

Challenging work Great people Stable

Cons

Top management consists mostly of workaholics and expect the same from lower level colleagues. Too many expectations and too lean of a workforce frequently leads to burn out at all levels within the organization. Pay, bonus and healthcare are mediocre.
