Pros

People. There's a feeling of community in certain teams.

Cons

Lack of direction is destroying the business. Those managing haven't done the role so they can't help when needed. Training seems to be a ticking exercise, get through quickly and not ongoing support before another batch of people hits the floor, overwhelming those already out. Long service not rewarded properly. Loyalty means nothing now, you here to do your job and nothing else. It's upsetting to see how simple changes are not deployed and instead revenue it's talked about as if it's the only thing that matters, at any cost. Basics are ignored. You can't build a house from the roof down. I understand a business is here to make money but there's not much of a plan or structure, decisions feel rushed. Staff are not kept informed. South Africa plans were sold to us like the next big venture, what's happened to that? Staff are unhappy and left unable to trust management or told to put good reviews here. Sad to see where we are. Bad decisions linger and there's not quick recovery from them, those still left need to work harder while those at the helm have another meeting. The different departments don't communicate well leaving deep pockets of dissatisfaction. There's not incentive in many areas to work hard when the rewards little.

Pros

Some really great people. A great cause in providing actual assistance to the NGO market.

Cons

Micromanagement was stifling to growth and productivity. Building the plane as you fly it approach in crosswinds that you could never navigate to success. Being told repeatedly that this was a start up and it is to be expected the direction malays and lack of professionalism in management. Unfortunately, also scapegoating appears to be the way. When failures to trade arise, which was all the time, it was blamed on the sales team. Feeling unrepresented and asking for representation and assistance and knowing that you were not going to receive it as they were too busy covering for themselves. It's a shame, once they were acquired a microscope was put on their inadequacies and everyone below management takes the fall and the staff pays for it with stress.
