Pros
-You receive a small paycheck. -The whole SDR team in the Montreal and Toronto office are new immigrants in Canada. This may be a pro in the sense of "diversity and inclusion", But the real reason it is that way is because they're the ones desperate enough to take this job.
Cons
-Repetitive job -The job has nothing to do with the job description. You're basically going to call potential customers all day to get them to open an account with DHL Express. -Very high turnover rate -The 'Sell like never before" Training that they brag about is in reality just a 15 minutes video capsule that has nothing to do with the job. -Toxic environment and culture. Upper management is arrogant and disrespectful to employees. -They'll brag about the commission in the interview, but the reality is that the commission is virtually nonexistent in the SDR role. -The only ones who ever get promotions are representatives in the Toronto office. No career development in Montreal. The customers that you manage to bring in will be assigned to an inside sales representative or higher. You will get a fixed (laughably small) commission for bringing in the customer, while the ISR or Field sales representative who gets assigned the customer will get the fat paycheck. -Management has unrealistic expectations in terms of daily calls, talk time, and lead numbers that no one manages to reach. It is exploitation.
