My group was great. The rest of the company, not so much. - Software Developer DISH Employee Review

Pros

The ability to learn, research and experiment. Fairly laid back (at least in my department, can't say for the others). Loved my boss!

Cons

Upper echelons bit off more than they could chew. They made big, expensive decisions without a clear vision of how they were to be used. They built this huge 5G network, then sent email messages asking the employees for suggestions of how to use it to make it profitable.

Pros

Work from home is the only pro I can think of

Cons

They don’t provide any equipment aside from the computer itself. They mislead you during the interview and job description. You are paid according to price of product sold and close rate however it’s all inbound calls and you can not call back. The inbound calls are lousy, people who don’t even have a $1 on a card in order to do the eligibility check, or no card at all.. poor credit which leads to higher out of pocket costs. I think only a handful of times I couldn’t overcome the spousal objection or the just shopping objection. Those I will take responsibility for but if I’m getting calls from people who don’t have a card or don’t have a $ or don’t have the money to put down OR already have an account or is a mis-transfer or were passed along because the technicians have to make referrals even though the customer isn’t actually interested in the product yet the tech makes them still call.. that’s crap and it’s not real sales.
