Pros

Strong and capable employees in the Hull office, including several experienced former Dojo staff who bring valuable payments industry knowledge.

Cons

There is no long-term direction, with the business appearing more focused on an eventual sale rather than on building sustainable growth. Development resources are not prioritised toward the areas that would most benefit the main business, instead they are being used for the Directors side ventures at Card Complete. Loss of experienced staff. Individuals with the knowledge and capability to improve the company have been made redundant, which has negatively impacted progress and continuity. Everything is manual & complex, nothing is documented or fit for purpose, turnover of staff is increasingly high.

Pros

The people and junior managers wonderful, the only good thing about the job.

Cons

Where to start …. Painful disparity in pay. Completely unfair hiring practices, they tick all the boxes to make it look reasonable and fair but it could not be any further from reality. The business and executives could not care less about you or your career aspirations. Total lack of resources to get the job done effectively. It is very common for people to be working 2-3 different roles and being compensated for only one job, your responsibilities are kept deliberately ambiguous for this reason. Refusal to invest in people (I’ve lost count in the amount of redundancies I’ve witnessed in the last 18 months). Our investors are disengaging.
