Pros
I've worked in fintech for over 15 years, across both corporate and startup environments, mostly in Switzerland, where fintech is known for innovation and global influence. DTCC is the first US company that has truly exceeded my expectations. The culture, processes, and practices aren’t just written down.. they’re actually followed. Management listens when you have something meaningful to say. Onboarding was smooth, and my colleagues made me feel welcome from day one. The work environment is flexible, with a good balance between on-site and remote. The CEO and leadership team are down-to-earth and approachable. So far, this has been the best fintech working experience I’ve had.
Cons
The commute is tough. .takes me about an hour to get to the office. Not the company’s fault, just my situation. Setting up dev access to some environments takes longer than I’d like. But given the strict compliance requirements, it’s understandable. I’m not a fan of Microsoft products, and most departments rely heavily on them. That’s just a personal preference.. if you’re into MS tools, you’ll probably be fine.
