Pros
The pay scale seems to be good in comparison with similar jobs in other cities in the area. No Social Security taxes removed from your check. Benefits are in line with average employers in the area.
Cons
Working with other staff in various departments makes you scratch your head.... as to how in the world some people got their job, much less keep it. It appears to be a lot of random bodies just holding jobs while there are fewer competent employees that work hard and efficiently. Seems much of management is in place because they just stuck with the City long enough and knew the right people to get defaulted into superior roles - without real people skills and definite lack of management skills. Knowing a job, and managing people are 2 different things - just knowing the job does not indicate they know how to deal with staff in a professional manner.
