Pros

- Competitive compensation - Relatively easy workload - Low pressure, even on underperforming projects - Management is approachable and flexible - Minimal adherence to rigid standards

Cons

- The relaxed environment becomes problematic during financial downturns - Attempts to implement more structure or discipline are often discouraged - Management tends to overlook critical priorities and long-term impact (very little understanding of financial metrics)

Pros

Hard to be fired, good benefits, double time Sundays.

Cons

No room to grow. Pay scale is a tier system based on a union contract that we negotiate every 3-5 years and the raises are never more than a dollar or two. They offer apprenticeships that you only get if you are related to someone and have some kind of friend up front. Qualifications mean nothing you learn more you do more and get paid less than then the tier 1 employees which makes the newer highers also not want to work so you will be in limbo working harder for nothing.
