The positives were that the company had a nice office and there were some genuinely pleasant people working there. Unfortunately, those positives were completely overshadowed by what I experienced from the senior leadership and management. In over 20 years of working in software development, including many years contracting in London, I have never encountered such unprofessional and intimidating behaviour from a management team. It was, without question, the worst leadership experience of my career.

AVOID to work for THIS COMPANY!! Contractors beware of DATASPARTAN! Contractors beware of DATASPARTAN I worked with DATASPARTAN as a contractor software developer, and the experience was extremely negative. They refused to pay my last two invoices, only informing me after I had delivered the project in full. The project began in August 2024 with an initial 3-month estimate, but I made it clear early on that the workload was far greater. Despite their later additions and scope increases, I delivered everything — yet they tried to avoid paying by offering only part of what was owed. When I considered taking legal action through a CCJ (County Court Judgment), I was met with false claims and threats over the phone. Because of financial pressure, I had no choice but to accept their reduced offer, and they even forced me to send an email stating I would never pursue a CCJ against them. I have over 20 years of professional experience, and I do not recall encountering behaviour like this from any company — especially in London, where I have worked with many clients. This is not how a professional company should treat contractors. Unreliable, threatening, and unfair — a very wicked organisation. I strongly advise other contractors to think twice before engaging with DATASPARTAN.
