Superb culture and work ethics - Anonymous employee Datastraw Employee Review

I was hired by DataStraw as a Customer Support Executive for a newly onboarded client, Kaya Skin Care. While I cleared all interview rounds successfully and was promised a two-week training and onboarding process, the actual experience was mismanaged and misleading from the start. The training was led by the CEO (Chandni chugh) and an Operations Analyst, both of whom were still learning the process themselves. Instead of training me, they dominated every session, left no room for me to gain practical exposure, and treated me like a passive participant—more of a “filler” to present a full team to the client rather than an actual hire they were investing in. While Kaya’s team was genuinely helpful and professional, I was never given the freedom to communicate directly or learn by doing. Despite trusting that I’d receive proper training, especially with early mentions of AI and automation support, I was unexpectedly asked at the end of training to perform at full speed—on systems I had barely used. Based on this one attempt, I was told I wasn’t the right fit, without clear or constructive feedback. To make matters worse, the compensation was also mishandled. My trainee offer clearly stated payment by the end of the month, but after following up, I was told it would be bundled with the monthly salary—something never communicated in advance.
