Pros

The pay at David's Bridal is pretty good compared to area companies. There are opportunities to grow and they do promote often from within. You are given the opportunity to work alongside a variety of departments and contribute to projects. The corporate office is standard, but they do have a gym and nice cafeteria. Summer Fridays are great - get done work at 2pm. Bagels every Fridays and a casual dress code.

Cons

Projects rarely take off; you are give the opportunity to work on many projects but all of the projects take years to come to fruition (if they come to fruition at all). High turnover rates and many lay offs. Lack of communication, even within departments. People are overworked and, as a result are miserable, cranky, and tired. Immense amount of pressure and just when you think you have something done or are getting the hang of it, leaders change their minds completely. The company has lost direction in recent years and has yet to find it. Company is disorganized. People are extremely cliqueish and unfriendly - you can walk past someone in the hall that you routinely work with and see in meetings, and they will put their head down and avoid eye contact. Don't expect any hellos, good mornings, how are you, or goodbyes - even from people on your own team. Everyone is stressed and terrified. It's a horrible environment, but the pay keeps most people around.

Pros

Fun place to work and nice to be apart of something bigger.

Cons

Total revolving door for employees, managers and everything else. No commission and store is worn down along with systems.

High expectations from managers and will push you to make the sale even when customers aren't interested.
