Although the base pay is $18-20, once you complete training and get approved for overtime, the overtime pay is 3x so $60 a hour. Would take full advantage until this is cut off.

Not a lot of growth opportunities
A lot of miserable, older women in management
Can take months to get a start date (very long hiring process)
Despite the job, there isn’t much of a servant leadership mindset, just attitudes and nastiness. You will hear dispatchers yelling and cussing, even while on the phone with callers.
Lack of professionalism in the work place.
The priority of the police department and the e911 center is not the citizens, it’s OFFICER SAFETY. that comes before anything.
