Pros
-The actual team you work with are amazing (the ones who haven't left or been pushed out). -The buyers are great to work with and know what they are doing. -The shares scheme and bonus are worth it but this is what is held over you to try and stay and then leave after 3 years if you can stick it out. -The parties are nice but as I said before, you are a second-class citizen as a tech if you even attempt to join activities if they are during the day.
Cons
-You will not get anywhere unless you suck up to the middle management of the technical team and let go of all your morals regarding the working conditions of suppliers and workers in Boohoo's UK manufacturing base. -People are pushed out and fired with little to no reasoning; the only people who last are the ones who don't voice their opinions. - The tech team is treated differently to other departments, regarding parties and staff events the tech team is made to be at their desks and set an example (while all other departments aren't working), this is the technical managers fear that we will be seen as "under-performing). -You will fit 1-3 hours a day depending on covering other staff that are off (or not employed 'yet') you are then expected to measure and annotate a minimum of 15 workbooks per day or you are threatened with appearing to be underperforming. -All this work is logged in spreadsheets and has to be submitted every Friday. -This does not include time spent checking production and answering supplier queries. -Pay between staff is all over the place with some techs earning vastly different amounts with only a year or two between them in experience. - There are no values when coming to fitting the clothing, anything gets let through and you will not have job satisfaction if you care about the product you are putting out with your name on it.
