Pros

Denik was a great place to work for part-time students, not so much for full-time professionals. The owners of Denik are highly involved in the growth & the operations of the organization. - Cool brand. - Energetic company. - Fun to play a big part in a small organization. - Great place to get start-up and small business experience. - Big opportunity for nearby USU students. - Employees are given autonomy in their day-to-day work decisions - Leaders strive to make work a positive place by providing frequent team lunches, free snacks, and other incentives. - 80% of the time leaders are helpful, positive, and motivating (see below for other 20%) and help to create a positive atmosphere.

Cons

- Very low pay for full-time employees. Not even close to competitive. - High turnover, even for top performing employees (due to low pay, lack of recognition, lack of career advancement opportunities, etc.) - No career advancement or significant pay raise opportunities. - Company is content with hiring part-time students with low experience and neglecting the need for internal career advancement opportunities. They then wonder why free snacks and $1.00/hr pay raises aren't helping them retain their top talent. - An underlying frustrating feeling that your work isn't good enough (multiple employees have expressed this as a frustration). - 20% of the time it can feel like leaders are frustrated, disappointed, or even resentful of employees. Often it was hard to know what kind of a personality your boss was going to bring for the day, so it felt like walking on eggshells somedays.
