Pros
There are some AMAZING people here. I am proud of the work we do, and am passionate about the mission. I love seeing animals, and even more than that, getting to share what I know with our guests. There's a passionate group of people trying hard to make it a good, supportive culture and I appreciate them so much. I think the heart of the Zoo is in the right place.
Cons
Culture - Despite the efforts mentioned above -- this place is a nightmare. If you are being bullied, if you're a victim of hostile work environments -- keep quiet. Talking about it will only get YOU in trouble. HR protects the executive leadership, the executives protect the toxic directors, and can inflict punishment on the younger staff.
