Pros

The pay is decent rate and paid on time, has some potential to be good

Cons

The interview should have been a warning when I was told that they hadn't read my CV however they sold this picture of a wonderful workplace where they out lots of effort and time into their employees and there was many opportunities for promotions and raises but this is not the case. There is a serious lack of job security and a feeling among employees that they could lose their livelihoods at any given moment based on how management feel that day. It is incredibly fast paced and no support is offered to you and often morale is very low but employees were afraid to express this to most of the management team. I witnessed higher up managers yelling at employees in an incredibly dehumanising and unprofessional manner on several occasions when something went wrong and so employees felt they could not approach those managers for help. There is a lack of organisation and customers are regularly unhappy with the service provided and management take almost no responsibility for this instead shifting the blame onto other teams. The culture is incredibly toxic in general focused with very few perks which is a shame as it has potential to be a great place to work if managers would listen to their staff and act on suggestions put to them, instead of micromanaging. It is a culture of hire and fire with no clear direction of what your job role is and there is potential that your job role will change from week to week. I had no one to one meetings to discuss targets and progression within the company, which again leaves a feeling of disorganisation and lack of planning and security. A lot of the time I felt as I had no guidance or direction on exactly what my job role was and what direction they saw it taking, something that significantly impacted my work. They also had almost 0 perks while I was there compared to similar placed I'd worked and while adding things such as a wellbeing hour were discussed, I do not think perks like this would ever have been implemented given the general lack of direction and communication among higher ups.

Pros

Exposure to multiple titles and unrelated work to your actual role can help you “learn things fast!”

Cons

Despatch Cloud is actually a great place to work, if you don’t mind the… - Leadership promoting unqualified individuals based on personal preferences rather than competence. - Project managers making technical and operational decisions without understanding the basics, resulting in repeated failures and rework. - Constant disorganization, shifting priorities, and internal politics that create daily confusion and stress. - Promises about promotions, renewals, or pay being broken without any real explanation. - Overworked employees being overlooked while underperformers are rewarded and protected. - Lack of professionalism and complete absence of management accountability. - Two key decision makers seem to have a consistent talent for making the worst possible calls at every opportunity. If you can ignore all that you’ll learn a lot in a short time, mostly through day to day survival.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience at Despatch Cloud did not meet your expectations. We recognise that as a growing company, rapid expansion can bring challenges, including evolving management structures, changing priorities, and areas for improvement in communication and consistency. Our leadership team takes all feedback seriously and continues to invest in developing our managers, improving internal processes, and ensuring that performance and promotion decisions are based on merit and contribution. We’ve made significant progress over the past year in strengthening project delivery, defining clearer roles, and supporting employee well-being, but we know there is always more to do. That said I don't recognise everything you have said, and it would be great if you can reach out to HR (amonmoulsy if you wish) because it would be very helpful to get more specifics to help us improve. We appreciate your contributions during your time with us and wish you the very best in your future career.

Pros

None that I can think of

Cons

Has a very hire and fire mentality so that staff come in and out like it's a revolving door. The treatment of staff is borderline abusive and toxic at times and you never know day to day if you're going to get a supportive attitude in which you can grow as an employee or not. The product itself is play but the way they speak about customers is appalling, especially when they have a complaint. If you're lucky enough not to be fired in first week, you're not safe as they will likely wait till the week before probation end to make up some excuse as to why you're a poor fit. Worth noting it is mostly the owners of the company at fault however and a lot of the management are scared of backlash if they speak up. The rest of thr negative reviews being buried by positive ones all posted around the same time and date speaks volumes in my opinion to how this company operates as they can't handle criticism.

Many thanks for your feedback, we always try and learn from all feedback. Our products suit a particular style of selling and we have had a higher turnover of sales staff then we would have liked, the decision to dismiss someone is never taken lightly but we have had good sales people who have done great in other roles struggle to understand the needs of our clients, it is no reflection on their overall abilities. The leadership of the sales team has changed since august (and I am guessing your employment pre dates that) and the team is far more stable and successful under the new head of sales and marketing. That said I would encourage you to email our HR team with any specific complaints you wish to have looked into. With regards the feedback, yes we often do poll our staff when we get criticism so see how they feel about the points raised and we do often suggest when we do that, that if they wish, they can also leave feedback (which they are under no obligation to). Our staff are great and do raise issues, and occasional complaints, but they also want to contribute to the success of the company. I wish you all the best for your future endeavours.
