Pros

-Market leader with a promising future -Governance is a really interesting space -Talented team, lots of great people -Endless opportunities for professional learning and growth -Leadership team puts an emphasis on integrity, diversity, equity and inclusion -You will not be bored!

Cons

-Poor work/life balance - expect to work nights and weekends due to heavy meeting culture and workload -Everything moves at a very fast pace which inevitably leads to miscommunication and causes extra work -Constant changes in roles and responsibilities -Compensation is not competitive with comparable tech companies

We fully agree that working at Diligent is always exciting and we’re gratified to hear you feel like you have runway for growth! We do hear your feedback, particularly about workload and balance. Please know that we continuously strive to improve workloads and be thoughtful about roles and responsibilities. We’ve taken action to make improvements, such as aligning teams in certain time zones, testing different best practices for better meeting management and conducting additional hiring and training. Diligent absolutely is a fast-paced environment, and we want all of our people to thrive and feel supported and recognized. Pros

The product is market-leading, and the space is genuinely interesting. There's no shortage of smart, capable people at Diligent. A lot of talented managers exist within the org who could do more if given the room.

Cons

Direction changes constantly — sometimes it feels quarter over quarter. The result is widespread burnout and an inability to execute. Senior leaders rarely push back on the CEO, which means teams absorb every strategic shift without warning or context. HR leadership prioritizes serving the executive team over the broader employee population. The HR team is stretched thin and operates more like a compliance function than a culture or development partner. (Turnover within HR leadership has been notable.) Pay is below market. The equity program is opaque, poorly managed, and functions more as a retention mechanism than a genuine benefit (with no clear path to liquidity). There's a meaningful gap between what the company says it stands for—especially around employee experience—and what it actually delivers internally.
