Pros
There are many opportunities to grow within the company. One can move up quickly as long they show the initiative. Able to learn all aspects of business with strong concepts of profit and loss. In any economy, there will always be a need for logistics. Casual work environment.
Cons
Long Hours and fast paced rush hours. High stress with almost impossible demands from customers. Logistics market is too competitive resulting in low profit margins. Transportation/Logistics industry = high stress, low pay. Management positions will include using weekend hours to catch up with overloaded weekdays. 60 hr work weeks are not unheard of.
