Pros

Hands down the culture and work EXPERIENCE! It’s an agency so prepare to be on your toes everyday. If fast pace isn’t your vibe then this is NOT the place for you. First off, the culture. Since leaving DA I’ve had two different job opportunities it big corporations and it doesn’t compare to this place. Some of my closest personal relationships are from either DA alums or still there. There’s a unity feeling there that I couldn’t and still can’t find in the workplace. Many of my professional “cheerleaders” are from DA and the network really grows if YOU put an effort. Now to work experience, I truly felt sometimes I was overworked and overstressed but when I say this truly prepares you for whatever you decide comes next. The things you learn here will put you ahead of the game. You will hate it in real time but you’ll be learning things beyond your role and expertise. I think that’s a plus of an agency experience.

Cons

The pressure you get from management and the constant changes/requests. Expectations can be very intense but I mean it really preps you for anything.

Pros

You get real range. You’ll work across strategy, media buying, creative, and measurement, and you’ll do it for lots of different industries. It’s the kind of breadth you rarely get in-house. If you’re curious and you take initiative, there’s room to build. New ideas are welcomed, and in many cases expected. You can truly own projects and push them forward. The agency is meaningfully diverse, which is not something you see everywhere in this industry. The people are smart and driven. If you like being around teammates who care about getting better at the craft, it’s a good environment. Merit shows up here. This is one of the few places I’ve worked where “if you want to grow and you put in the effort” actually plays out. People who take initiative, improve fast, and raise their hand for responsibility can build a real career here.

Cons

It’s still an agency. Clients can be demanding, priorities can change quickly, and you’ll deal with a lot of context switching. Some days it’s hard to plan your time because requests come in from multiple directions. This is not the best fit if you’re looking for a strict clock-in, clock-out job. It’s not that you’re expected to be “always on,” but the pace and responsibility can carry beyond a neat 9–5, depending on the role and client situation. Workload can vary a lot by account and team. When processes are tight, things run smoothly. When they aren’t, the job can feel more reactive.
