Pros

working with students to help them succeed in college.

Cons

The school has major financial issues and declining enrollment Bad management who bullies and takes advantage of the employees under them. A two tiered system where higher administrators do what they want/when they want while the regular staff must make up the slack No oversight of department heads Bullying and harassment by administrators are tolerated by HR and the higher level admins Low pay with no opportunities for promotion or salary increases

Pros

I taught at Doane University for seventeen years. It's a very good school with great professors and many programs from which to choose. Nebraska is an awesome state, and Lincoln is my favorite city in America (I've lived all over the United States, too). If you're looking for a personalized education where you'll get lots of attention from your professors - and if you'd like a peaceful setting in which to pursue your studies - then I'd highly consider Doane University as you contemplate where you'd like to pursue your higher education. Grade: A

Cons

Students from out-of-state may sense a lack of culture in Nebraska. But this isn't true. There is culture everywhere, especially in Lincoln and Omaha. You may have to drive a little bit to reach these cultural hubs, especially if you live on the main campus in Crete, but Nebraska is a beautiful state, so the drive is definitely worth it. Lots to see and do in Nebraska. It gets cold, so wear a jacket :-)
