Pros

The associates in my store.

Cons

They work the managers like slaves. 60 to 70 hours a week are the norm. You pay for all healthcare benefits the company contributes 0. Extremely high turn over most stores pay minimum wage. District managers and up have no idea what the stores go through to accomplish their work. Top management has lost touch with reality. They make millions and hundreds of thousands of dollars while the store staff struggles to make ends meet. They are condescending patronizing and act like they care. I finally have found another job.

Pros

I enjoyed working at Dollar Tree because it allowed me to lead a team, help develop associates, and make a difference in my store. I liked the fast-paced environment and the variety of challenges that came with running daily operations. The experience helped me grow as a manager, strengthen my problem-solving skills, and build great relationships with both my team and customers.

Cons

The biggest challenges were limited staffing, heavy workloads, and a lack of support from the district level when issues arose. PTO requests were often denied due to business needs, which made it difficult to achieve a good work-life balance. While these challenges could be frustrating at times.
