Pros

Somehow they managed to convince a big backer to fund them

Cons

Christina graduated from college in 2013... with a non-technical degree... you don't just go out and start a hedge fund after college. There's something shady with this operation.

Domeyard Response

Unfortunately this is a fake review from someone who has never worked with us before. Since there's no way for people to verify this, I wanted to point out the following: Many of the biggest hedge funds and HFT firms were started after college. Domeyard's biggest competitors were actually founded by recent college grads, albeit 20-30 years ago. Christina is the youngest person at Domeyard today, but the fund owes much of its success to her. We are grateful for her contributions over the years.

Pros

I love underdogs and Domeyard is definitely the David in David vs goliath. As an MIT student, it's inspiring to see Christina building a successful company using her MIT degree. It's a demanding place to work, but it's the good kind of demanding where I'm asked to really apply my knowledge to solve problems. People there are also fun and quirky, which really took the stress off of the internship.

Cons

The brand of the company is still relatively unknown (when compared to other trading firms)

Pros

The people who work here are extremely bright, talented, and hungry for success. They've succeeded in attracting big financial backers and are doing a great job. NOTE: I'd like to strongly disagree with the writer of the "shady company" review. Clearly, this person is just causing drama for no reason and lashing out at Domeyard's success by trying to downplay Christina's credentials. She is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. And I'd like to point out that being a company founder doesn't mean you have to have technical skill; it means you have to have great leadership, a sense of company direction, and perserverence. I've seen a lot of hedge funds fail because they're only full of computer programmers who don't know how to talk to investors.

Cons

Very few cons to working with them. They're still growing, so now is the time to join their ranks.
