Do not make a MISTAKE - Anonymous employee DotOnes Employee Review

I started Dot Ones as my first role, and in the 20 months in the company, developed a vast range of skills in many many different areas in IT. This is not, I REPEAT, not the kind of place you can sit around and expect things to happen. I learnt quickly that the place is run as a very large scale helpdesk, but with only a few engineers (often round 6-10) I would recommend the role to anyone if they wish to start and thrive in the IT industry, but for myself, found its a great foundation, but not the end goal.

Many processes can end up putting a lot of stress on engineers. For example, first line engineers have a requirement to answer calls on the first ring. If one engineer is on the phone, and another is busy/on lunch etc, it doesn't matter what you are doing, you need to get the call. This means a lot of wires are crossed and many cases will be left mid work,

The negative reviews have come from people who have stolen from the company or were dismissed during their probation as they were out drinking the night before and called in sick the following day. Calling the company out for ridiculous things and they’ve done nothing but grow since then, shows how incorrect the negative comments actually are. I can honestly say that this is the best company I have ever worked for hands down. The work is rewarding and Amin the director really looks after his staff. There is plenty of opportunity to grow in the company if you really want it and work hard for it. I’ve enjoyed every moment that I have been here. The team are brilliant and very sociable. We do events every month which is treated for us all by the company which is much appreciated by the staff. All in all I would say that DotOnes is an amazing place to work!
