Drake WAS a wonderful place to work until the new owners merged it with TaxAct and replaced a good CEO with one who has no experience working in the tax industry. Among other things........
^Woman and minorities are not treated with the same level of respect as men; chief execs (including 1 woman) consistently favor men over women.
^MAJOR lack of diversity; women and minorities are rarely promoted, consistently paid less than their male counterparts in the exact same job role/position, and many departments are 100% male.
^Overall work environment and culture has become increasingly negative under the current regime, and Human Resources leadership lack of compassion and appreciation for employees plays a major role in the dwindling morale.
^Employees should feel comfortable approaching HR leadership in the event they need to, but most are not; those who do ask for help are either greeted with an argument, treated as inferior, or flat-out ignored.
^Lack of transparency from leadership promotes further workplace toxicity; mass layoffs at random times without understanding the value of those they fire and without backfilling positions.
