Pros
Great place to start out! If you need a foot in the door or some work experience, this is the place to start! I definitely recommend it! Everyone is friendly, the work is easy to learn, nice coworkers, the boss is really kind and cares about his employees. There are definitely plenty of opportunities for overtime too!
Cons
Most definitely technologically behind. Most graphs and reports were done by hand and they didn’t really want to change that.
Pretty high employee turnover. Many quit by about 6 months for a better payed position elsewhere.
Also most definitely underpaid. Working for the county would easily make you $5/hr more at starting salary (first 3 months) and probably $8/hr more afterwards. I know a few people that have been working there for years and their hourly wage hasn’t changed at all.
