Pros

If full time it's like your running your own mini boutique, so it's a great training ground for learning sales and business. If your part-time in school and floating from store to store then it's fun money. You learn skincare in & out from top international companies like Loreal & Pop. You learn to sell, get full benefits, get free product, work in interesting stores, meet great customers and build clientele. I made great friends there. Plus you have a chance at really amazing bonuses if...

Cons

...if you're a favorite that is. Favoritism, cattiness, abuses of every single illegal kind, and heavy cleaning to boot which you never get credit for. They ask you to do more than they give you hours, and when you stay off clock they yell at you. But if you don't they still yell at you.The contests and bonus/commissions are a fixed game. Basically the faves get all the best pay and perks. You will be broke, constantly tempted to shop, and have no life- unless you're a favorite. I made more as a Part time favorite going from store to store than I ever made while full time. Make no mistake it's a SALES and cleaning job, but all they care about is numbers, not at all you. They don't care about you or your kids. Seriously this is at best this entry level for licensed Estheticians. If full-time and licensed demand top pay and full-time status- not just hours or they WILL screw you on pay and benefits. Investigate every option for health insurance theirs sucks and will eat your check before deductibles. Sign up for the 401k it's worth it. Caveat: If you're not advancing (raises, hours, promotions, contests, can never do anything right by them) like the favored stars that steal your ideas to get their sitting asses kissed on conference then start looking for another job. If you're breaking your back at your store and know others sit on their butts all day- time to go. If they stick you in a dead store in a dead neighborhood right after floating phase, time to go. They will always demand more and more giving you less. By this time you're on your way out anyway. The favorites start at the top from the beginning. Truly working your way up without snitching isn't how they do things.
