Pros

Duro is a great place for individuals to expand their creativity and learn about all aspects of engineering. You will get an opportunity to work with a talented and diverse team of engineers who honestly care about your personal development. The CEO even has a small library with engineering and leadership books to help you expand your skills. From the beginning, you will get a sense of ownership over the projects you work on and will have significant input into the development of the device. The Duro UAS team does a great job at listening to new ideas and work them out to turn them into physical solutions to their product. Duro UAS has given me the confidence and skills I needed when beginning my career in engineering. Amazing and honest people who invest their time into employees to ensure continuous growth of both the employee and the product. If you want to work on meaningful projects with a great team, I highly recommend working at Duro UAS.

Cons

As with all startup companies, there will be a degree of openness to where new products are going in terms of end-user and final use cases. But this is also the fun part where you can have significant input into the direction of products and take part in all aspects of product development such as initial consumer research and R&D.

Pros

At Duro UAS, as an Engineering Intern, I learned to apply the very theories that I spent many of my college years learning. During my time at Duro UAS, I was able to learn to apply a lot of the circuit integration skills that I picked up in my labs and lecture classes. I learned the importance of things such as inter-departmental (electrical, mechanical, and computer engineering) communications when it comes to putting together a project. As an engineering prospect, I was able to grow in terms of applying myself and working with others. It is not too often that one can go into a job environment (especially in engineering) and start to apply the classroom theories in the real world right away. But, at Duro, I was able to apply myself and build my confidence as an engineer.

Cons

One of the cons at Duro was that often times, because of class conflicts, scheduling was an issue when it came to various members of the same team being present at the same time, however, I learned that even such a scenario was a huge learning curve for myself. For example, I was able to greatly improve my communication skills with my team members to ensure that work was being done at the proper pace.
