Pay is ridiculously low. Many departments live in the past, e.g. the biology curriculum hasn't changed in the last 15 years -- and was way outdated even back then. Due to the lack of English knowledge and travel / work exposure abroad, the work culture and attitudes are very insular and inefficient.
