Pros
I respect and admire my employer for providing a family-like atmosphere. So many employers say care, but with ENSCO, they show it. To prove it, you can look at their retention rate. It is unusually high. Higher than any other company I have worked at and maybe even known of. You can also look at the rate of hires who are referred. That is also an unusually high percentage. The office I worked at was diverse in many ways. The activity committee was busy with many events that kept employees happy. The president and VP's really look out for the employees. Everyone works hard and cares about the company's overall success. People here are not just paper pushers.
Cons
The medical insurance seems a bit expensive. But overall, benefits are typical. Some of the specialty positions are dependent on contracts. If we lose contracts, some jobs could go as a result. But that's the way things go with government contractors.
