Pros
Large company with interesting and diverse projects, and an incredibly strong focus on safety. The people are generally excellent to work with and give good feedback. The office culture varies wildly depending on what office you are based in. Boston is very corporate, fast-paced, and competitive, while Providence and Hartford are more relaxed. I think the company treats its employees better than some companies, but not as well as others. Opportunities for training and growth are provided, but you need to maintain billability so you need to work extra to compensate.
Cons
You are paid salary but frequently work much more than 40 hours a week. If the company does well in the fiscal year they pay out a bonus based on obscure and undisclosed calculations, but it never adds up to the amount of extra hours you put in throughout the year. The culture in the Boston office was a little frantic and workaholic with tight deadlines and very high expectations. Also, the focus on safety is excellent but quite restrictive and cumbersome at times. There is a large amount of corporate BS and extra administrative/nonbillable paperwork which gets in the way of the job.
