Pros
The company projects itself well on paper. Officially emphasises on health and safety, international standards etc. It is a good place to learn to be a consultant and pretend to uphold values. As a professional you will learn to sell yourself and maybe learn a few things along the way.
Cons
The reality is different. Health and safety is based on convenience. A key client/ global client will be given preference over a new client or a local client. Health and safety, standards are put on display for the benefit of a client. Proposals and reports come with impressive fine print consisting of caveats and loopholes that benefit the company from any accountability and liability. HR team is the sole reason for a toxic environment. They seem more inclined to please management than look out for employees. The new senior leadership team does not instil confidence and have handled situations badly. Overworked and underpaid. Based on conversations with current employees they are the only consultancy that has laid off people and are still implementing pay cuts during the pandemic.
