Pros

When you come to Exos, you will become a better coach, period. The methodology is deep, proven, evolving and is the best in the industry. There are tons of learning opportunities that include in-person and virtual seminars with some of the smartest people in the fitness and performance industry. The company cares about work/life balance.

Cons

I'll start with the biggest con - you will not get paid fairly at this company. For the longest time, the quote that management was proud to say was "we didn't get into the fitness business for the money." While that's true, we also didn't get in here to struggle and live with roommates into our 30s. ~4% raise every year. When there are personal training opportunities, coaches make $25/session and as a premium coach, I would charge that for a 10 minute warm up. Career development - I've seen interns get hired to full time coaches and get promoted to managers. I have also seen coaches stay coaches for 8+ years. Every company and industry has politics you have to figure out to move up, but the level at Exos is outrageous. Exos develops coaches but does not offer any leadership or manager training, but if you play the game, you can get promoted. Once a coach gets promoted to manager and they stay in that role for 3+ years, they completely forget what it's like to be a coach by delegating the worst tasks and create unfair expectations/goals.

Pros

Love the company culture and values. It’s fun to be apart of an innovative company in the health and fitness industry. 90% of the people I have worked with over the years are great people that really know their stuff.

Cons

For the health and fitness industry the benefits and schedules are great for full-time employees but the pay is sometimes a little low. Pay is sometimes based on the account contract and yearly raises are rare, but small increases do occur to help with the increased cost of living.
