Pros
Casual & flexible work environment. Ability to learn about all facets of local government, ranging from airport operations, landfill, road & bridge, community development, to name just a few. One of the, if not the, best employer in Eagle County as far as pay, benefits and year-round opportunities.
Cons
Due to the size and nature of Eagle County, County Government jobs are highly sought after and kept for a long time, making growth opportunities either far and few between or nonexistent. While there can be opportunity for cross department movement, I would say upward mobility is somewhat limited.
