Pros
I had worked for this company for three years and it was the best job I'd ever had because some of the colleagues I'd had really were fantastic people and you really felt like a valued member of the store team. There was a fun atmosphere in stores and they'd encourage you to get involved and interact with the customers
Cons
In 2012, I felt that Mothercare had lost interest in keeping stand-alone stores leading to poor confidence as staff feared for their jobs. Some of Mothercare's policies were difficult to implement in smaller ELC stores. Being reluctant to promote people to the job title and salary that was appropriate for the roles that they were taking on.
