Pros

Dynamic role, a lot of business travel, great opportunity to build professional network with contractors, A&D, workrooms, etc. Not the worst place if you are starting a career or switching industries, but negotiate hard as they will exploit you to the max. They lost dispute in court to the same employee twice!

Cons

Big turnover of people, haven't seen or heard of anyone to progress apart from one director, most of people seem overwhelmed, too stressed and unhappy. Serious issues with supply chain, employees complain about salaries, nobody likes MD, never heard anyone got any paid (good quality) training all done in-house.

Pros

High-energy colleagues and a generally fun team. Lots of effort to add new product and continual promotions/other initiatives to give sales options. Extra holidays given after 5/10 years service and involvement in setting own targets year-to-year.

Cons

Sometimes too many different actions/data to focus on: streamline to more pure sales management?

Pros

Modern office. Some lovely staff I bonded with only because we all hated working there.

Cons

Blame culture, weekly meetings to discuss out of stocks only to determine why you let it happen. Daily chats about how you can do your job better like improving pricing but then further chats about you’ve stepped over line for negotiating prices. No phones at your desk and no leaving the office to take important personal phone calls, archaic approach to management and no thinking allowed. Do as you’re told and be ready for the telling off when managers amend your orders and the stock runs out. I spent more time covering my back than I did doing the job. Genuinely made me ill working here and I was the fifth hire of the year because no one would stay.
